April 17, 2010 Placerville CA. With mother finally cooperating with the
Placerville Speedway 360 sprint car race schedule, Jimmy and crew would be
able to take the Coors Light #33t to race in the 2010 opening race event for
the sprint car racing season. This night was pretty good as Jimmy would
show off his new 2010 graphics on the sprint car.
In qualifying Jimmy would would turn a lap of 10.360 which would be the
5th quick lap of the 5th quick time of the night, and would put Jimmy in the
3rd starting spot of his heat Race.
Heat Race action was fast action paced and Jimmy would slip up on the
start as fast qualifier Camron Mendes would get by Jimmy on the first lap.
Jimmy would race hard though and on lap would pass Camron for 3rd, Then at
the and of Lap 3 Jimmy would get loose out of 3 and loose two spots, to
5th, From there Jimmy would regroup and maintain that 5th place spot and
have to go to the B main event.
The Coors Light 33t would start on the outside of the
second row outside of the x1 F&F mount of Mason More. And Sean Becker would
also be starting in 3rd. With a clean start Mason would lead the pack of 15
cars to the starting line and when the Green Flag dropped, Jimmy would race
hard into turn 1 dropping behind Masons x1. then a flag would come out for
Steven Tiner, as he had to go high to miss a the loose machine of #20 Nicole
Miller. On the restart Jimmy would be hot on Mason Moores tail until Lap 6
when 42 machine of Josh Bates would spin out bringing out the yellow Flag.
Under caution, the x1 of Mason Moore would quit running leaving the lead to
Jimmy. As the race restarted Jimmy would hold off a hard charging Sean
Becker and would lead the final 6 laps taking the win.
With a 0 pill drawn for the inversion, Jimmy would get
his time back for the start of the A Main even, and would start in the
second row outside. On the start Jimmy would have some problems getting
cleanly through lap one and drop back to 7th but would also regroup, and
race hard to maintain that position for the next 12 laps where he would
inherit 6th after the 53 of Andy would make a pass for the lead and
accidentally clip the #29 of Camron Mendes. Jimmy would then have to battle
off the #21 of Colby Wiesz for the next 6 laps and eventually Wiesz would
pass Jimmy putting him back to 7th. Jimmy would race hard in that 7th spot
and would finish there.
