August 23rd, 2008 - Jimmy Trulli and the Trulli Racing Team was in action at
Placerville Speedway this weekend, and the night was looking like it was a
night filled with adversity. To start off the night, the Team drew the
74 pill and was last out to qualify. But tonight it turned out to be a
good thing, as there were 28 cars on hand and a well prepped track. So
Jimmy was able to go out and turn a lap of 10.408 giving him the 6th fastest
time of the night. This would place Jimmy into the 2nd heat race
starting in the 5th position one spot out of a transfer. Jimmy would
run hard on the as the green flag dropped, but would not be able to pass
anyone, giving him the 5th place finish, and placing him into the B main
Event starting on the outside of the front row. As the Green Flag would drop Jimmy would chase Andy Gregg for 12 laps, and come up with a 2nd place finish, placing Jimmy in the A Main event starting in the 8th position. In the A Main Jimmy would seem to hit the set up on the car perfectly as he quickly would move forward taking the 7th position after lap one, and at the end of Lap 2 jimmy would be up to 6th place as he motored around the 14r of Scott Russell. the next 5 laps Jimmy would chase down the 20j of James Sweeney, and on lap 8 Jimmy would complete the pass. This pass would be short lived though as the motor just died in the middle of the turn, Ending Jimmy's Night. Next Race for Trulli Racing will be August 30th @ Placerville Speedway. |

July 18th and 19th 2008 - Jimmy Trulli bounces back from rough time at ASCS
Northwest Speed Week with an 8th place finish Friday Night in Civil War
Sprint Car action at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, and brings home 2nd
place finish at Placerville Speedway Saturday night. Starting Friday night in Chico, California's Silver Dollar Speedway, the night started off rough as the fuel pump was not working correctly and the team had to make a mad dash to get it changed out so that we could get out for our hot laps. After checking things over, the crew was able to get the pup changed out, and get the car into hot laps. With little time to adjust the car Jimmy talked things over with crew chief Willie, and they set the car up for Qualifying. With a time of 12.427 seconds around the 1/4 mile track, Jimmy would have the 20th quick time of the night, and would start at the front of his heat race. Jimmy would start on the outside of the first row and would fall into the 2nd position for 8 laps. then things would change as Jimmy would move into the lead on lap 9 and win his heat race, putting him directly into the Main event!!! Starting the Main event, Jimmy would start in the 15th position and would move forward all race long. Jimmy would move up to the 14th spot on lap 2 as the 1X of Brett Miller had some issues and retired. Then on lap 9 jimmy would move into the 13th spot, as the 29 of Willie Croft retired the race. Jimmy would be battling with Mike Benson all race long, as they raced hard and continued to climb into positions By lap 27 Jimmy was in 9th place, and on Lap 30 Jimmy would gain one more spot into the 8th position. Jimmy would then head to his home track @ Placerville Speedway July 19th where Jimmy would have one of his best nights of the year. With a Qualifying time of 10.913, which would put Jimmy 6th fast time of the night. With 21 cars on hand, There would be only 3 heat races, and jimmy would have to shoot for 5th place or better to get his time back in the Main Event which is where he would finish. Jimmy would then start in the 5th place spot in the Main event, and Jimmy would get a great start, and move up to 2nd place on the first Lap. Jimmy would then Chase down the 14r of Scott Russell for 15 laps, and then get passed by the 35 of Colby Wiesz on lap 16. But would still maintain 2nd place, as Russell cut down a tire and would have to retire. Jimmy would then battle with Wiesz and in the end would finish in the 2nd position. Next race for Trulli Racing is July 26th at Petaluma Speedway in California Civil War Action!!! |

July 14, 2008 Somewhere in Oregon - Jimmy Trulli and
the rest of Trulli race team headed up north to run the 2008 ASCS Northwest
Speed week. Night one of Speed week showed how tough the trip will be
as Jimmy was on hand at Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford Oregon.
Jimmy would have a new power plant in for the race and would have to work on
tuning the motor. Starting in the 5 position of heat race one, the
track was greasy and jimmy would be a little too loose for the track
condition. Jimmy would end up running in the 8th position.
this would put Jimmy into the second of the 2 B-main events. Jimmy
would run hard in the B and would finish in the 6th position not
transferring to the A main event, ending his night. Night 2 would see Jimmy and crew pulling into Cottage Grove Speedway. Jimmy would try and regroup from last nights luck, but it would not be much better, as Jimmy would grab pill # 48 out of 50 pills putting Jimmy into the # 8 position. Jimmy would fight his way up the field but fell short of the transfer position placing Jimmy in the B main event that only takes 2 racers from! Jimmy would fall back on the start 4 positions. Jimmy quickly bounced back but would only be able to get up to 6th place putting Jimmy on the trailer for the night. next night of racing will be Wed @ 7pm in Willamette Speedway in Williamette Oregon. Now that the past is behind them, the team is ready to rock and roll and get back to the winning ways of Trulli Racing!!! Come see us in the pits after the races and get your hero cards, and a T-shirt. |

After a series of
uncharacteristic runs for Jimmy Trulli and his crew, they have taken a
couple of weeks off, regrouped and are ready to run. Jimmy, Willie and the
rest of the Trulli Racing has put together a different car (called "Old
Betsy" by Jimmy's crew chief Willie) that they are hoping that they are
getting rid of the string of bad luck that seemed to follow the old car.
Every night for Jimmy has seemed to start off pretty good, but racing
incidents seemed to catch up with Jimmy. Last race @ Placerville Speedway on May 17, 2008 was no different. Jimmy had a great qualifying effort with the 2nd fast time of the night clocking in a lap of 10.815 Jimmy's work would be cut out for him in the Heat Race where he needed to finish in the top 5 positions for a transfer straight into the A main event. Starting on the 3rd row outside, Jimmy would need to get a great start. With the drop of the green, Jimmy was on the gas. However it would be short lived, as going into turn three on lap 2, Jimmy would catch part of the cushion sending him into twisting into the cushion wiping out all four corners ending with the car on its side, and Jimmy was done for the night.
